Softball Recap: Raymondville Comes Up Short

Raymondville came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ray Texans by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bearkats have suffered since March 1, 2024.

Alyssa Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Becca Lopez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Raymondville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Ray, their record now sits at 4-6.
