Marshall Academy lost to Calhoun Christian back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Marshall Academy Griffons took down the Calhoun Christian Cougars 73-55. Winning may never get old, but the Griffons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Marshall Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Patterson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 19 rebounds. Patterson has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of LaDarrell Harris, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Marshall Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Calhoun Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

When Marshall Academy and Calhoun Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Marshall Academy will challenge Will Carleton Academy and their six-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall Academy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Calhoun Christian will try to stop Bellevue's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Marshall Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
