The Coral Shores Hurricanes will square off against the Dade Christian Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coral Shores is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
On Friday, Coral Shores got the win against Westminster Academy by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Campbell Lavoie made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, AJ Putetti was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Maykol Bonito also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Coral Shores was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in 13 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Dade Christian came up short against Key West on Saturday and fell 8-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alexander Mendoza Jr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Wander Tifa, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
Coral Shores pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dade Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Both Coral Shores and Dade Christian just can't seem to miss. Coral Shores has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Dade Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Coral Shores came out on top in a nail-biter against Dade Christian in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coral Shores since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
