 Central is 0-3 against Hueytown since October of 2022 but things could change  on Friday. The Falcons will head out to  square off against the Golden Gophers  at 7:00  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They blew past Brookwood, posting  a  56-14 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.

Central got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Armani White out in front who threw for 115 yards and three  touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. That's the most  passing touchdowns  White has posted since back in November of 2024. Central's leading receiver  Tra'Von Hall was  White's top target yet again, picking up 63 receiving yards and one  score, while also rushing for 44 yards and one  TD.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 212  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 212  rushing yards in four consecutive  games.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Central, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  James Freeman, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, Hueytown waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding  45-14 win over the Panthers. Given the Golden Gophers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Panthers are ranked 179th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Central's record now sits at 6-2. As for Hueytown, their record is now 5-3.
 Central couldn't quite get it done against Hueytown in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024 as they fell  28-17. Can the Falcons avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
