            Softball Recap: Smoky Mountain Mustangs vs. Brevard Blue Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Smoky Mountain lost against Brevard back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Mustangs came up short against  the Blue Devils, falling  17-11. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Kaylie Parris and  Callie Winchester stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Parris  scored three  runs while going 1-for-3, while  Winchester  scored a  run while going 1-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Pryton Johnson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Smoky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Brevard, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smoky Mountain will welcome West Henderson  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Brevard, they will face off against Polk County at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 7.3  runs per game this season.
