Basketball Recap: Coventry Extends Winning Streak to Six

Coventry waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-40 W against the Suffield Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Wildcats on February 3rd, they had to take a 61-53 defeat.

Coventry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailey Mayo, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Mayo is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Wheeler, who put up 13 points.

Coventry's record is now 20-3. As for Suffield, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

As of now, neither Coventry nor Suffield have any future games scheduled.
