Basketball Recap: Alvord Comes Up Short

If Alvord was riding high fresh off their 62-34 takedown of Tioga last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Alvord Bulldogs were outmatched by the Slidell Greyhounds and fell 71-42. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now lost nine in a row.

Alvord's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Slidell, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-7.

Alvord will face off against Chico at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chico is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season. As for Slidell, they will challenge Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Slidell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
