Basketball Game Preview: Life Prep Fire vs. Independent Panthers

The Life Prep Fire will head out on the road to challenge the Independent Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Life Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Life Prep is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since January 18th on Saturday. They breezed by St. Mary's Academy to the tune of 66-35.

It was another big night for Quinton Rolle Jr, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Quincey Rolle, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points.

Life Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Independent duked it out withBluestem on Friday. Independent took a hard 58-43 fall against Bluestem.

Life Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Independent, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Life Prep won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January, slipping by Independent 50-49. Will Life Prep repeat their success, or does Independent have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
