North Pole came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the West Valley Wolf Pack 46-28. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Wolf Pack are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Pole is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for West Valley, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Pole will face off against Ketchikan at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Valley, they will challenge Colony at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
