Softball Recap: Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns vs. Hardin-Jefferson Hawks
Hamshire-Fannett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Jade Hill was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 5.2 innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February.
At the plate, Hamshire-Fannett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Gallier, who went 3-for-4 with one double.
Hamshire-Fannett now has a losing record of 14-15-2. As for Hardin-Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16.
