Pittsburg put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the American Canyon Wolves 9-1. Considering the Pirates have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ty Thompson made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other pitching news, Marc Torres looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Devin Simonton was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Diego Deluna was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Pittsburg pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.4 runs this season. As for American Canyon, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Pittsburg will welcome Granada at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granada's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Pittsburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for American Canyon, they will head out to square off against Vintage at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give American Canyon their first taste of in-conference action this season.
