Basketball Recap: Kendall Tyler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sweetwater over Roane County

After a string of three wins, Sweetwater's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 52-40 to the Roane County Yellowjackets. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 64-45 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kendall Tyler, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 14 points. That's the most points Tyler has posted since back in January. Lilly Woodruff was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Sweetwater now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Roane County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Loudon the next time they take the court. Roane County will head out to face Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025, while Sweetwater will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
