Softball Recap: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Archbold Blue Streaks
Napoleon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archbold Blue Streaks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Streaks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 on Saturday.
Alexa Duryea (Jr) was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hannah Miller (So), who scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Archbold, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.
Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Napoleon Wildcats challenge Whitmer Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbold, they will challenge Tinora at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
