Softball Recap: Lower Dauphin Takes a Loss

Lower Dauphin was the 11-6 winner over Hershey when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.

Jordan Frye made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

Lower Dauphin's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Hershey, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lower Dauphin will host Bishop McDevitt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hershey, they will face off against Central Dauphin East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
