Basketball Recap: Fishers Tigers vs. Noblesville Millers

The Fishers Tigers and the Noblesville Millers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Fishers Tigers had to settle for second. They took a 56-42 bruising from the Millers. Fishers was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Millers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Fishers lost, one person who can't be blamed is Talia Harris. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Thomas, who scored six points along with five rebounds.

Noblesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meredith Tippner, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tippner has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Reagan Wilson, who scored 16 points along with four steals.

Fishers' defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Noblesville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Fishers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Noblesville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Royals at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hamilton Southeastern will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
