Coldspring-Oakhurst came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 41-7 loss at the hands of Hardin. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Meanwhile, Anahuac fell victim to Hardin and their airtight defense last Thursday. They were dealt a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Hornets. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Anahuac's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
