Football Recap: Harlem Piles Up the Points Against Boylan Catholic

After only 12 points in their last contest, Harlem made sure to put some points up on the board against Boylan Catholic on Monday. The Huskies took their match with ease, bagging a 48-12 win over the Titans. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Titans are ranked 201st).

Hari Young produced another solid effort rushing for 101 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Harlem pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Boylan Catholic, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harlem will face off against rival Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Huskies 13.7, the J-Hawks 8.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Belvidere North at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
