Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats vs. East Limestone Indians
Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Limestone Indians. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Westminster Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 13-25, 25-19, 25-9, 15-5.
Addie Mcwhorter paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Mcwhorter got some help from Azlyn Leatherwood and her 14 assists. Leatherwood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Westminster Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for East Limestone, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
