Baseball Recap: Robinson Find Success

Robinson took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Lake Norman Charter, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights on Friday, sneaking past 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Knights back in March, they had to take a 6-0 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Aury Greenfield, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Barbee, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Robinson's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Lake Norman Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Robinson is set to take on their familiar foe West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lake Norman Charter will face off against rival Concord at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
