Soccer Recap: Mclane Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

McLane's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Hanford Bullpups by a score of 3-1. Given McLane's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Hanford are ranked 314th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pedro Tovar and Wilber Ruiz scored all three of McLane's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

The win made it two in a row for McLane and bumps their season record up to 3-1-2. As for Hanford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-2.

McLane wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Selma on the 9th. As for Hanford, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Orange Cove on the 10th.
