Haven took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Halstead, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Dragons on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 2nd.

Haven's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Halstead, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1.

Haven has already played their next game (against Hutchinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Halstead, they will take on Hoisington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
