Weiser won the last time they faced Fruitland and things went their way on Monday too. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Grizzlies. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Madi Janicek made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellie Shirts, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Ali Navarrete was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Weiser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Weiser pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Fruitland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Weiser beat the Grizzlies by a score of 12-0 on Wednesday.
