Basketball Game Preview: Lithonia Bulldogs vs. Lovejoy Wildcats

The Lithonia Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lovejoy Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lithonia is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Lithonia is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Marist on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Lithonia was outmatched by Marist and fell 61-20. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the War Eagles are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Lovejoy came up short against McIntosh on Friday and fell 50-39.

Lovejoy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Lithonia, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Lithonia was taken down by Lovejoy 68-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2016. Can Lithonia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
