Basketball Recap: Mills' Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Mills had lost nine straight headed into Saturday's matchup, but Jefriel Bacorro didn't let it get to ten. The Mills Vikings strolled past the Wallenberg Bulldogs with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-37 thanks in part to Bacorro, who posted 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mills' points.

Another player making a difference was Ryan Dang, who put up eight points. Those eight points gave him a new career-high.

Mills' win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Wallenberg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Mills will venture away from home to square off against San Mateo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Wallenberg, they will square off against Mission at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wallenberg is facing Mission at the right time seeing as Mission is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
