Soccer Recap: Livingston Takes a Loss

Livingston entered their contest against Ceres on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Livingston Wolves fell just short of the Ceres Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wolves came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 567th).

Livingston's goal came courtesy of Diego De-Leon Bernal, who's now up to seven this season.

Livingston's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5-1. As for Ceres, they now have a winning record of 7-6-4.

Livingston will head out to face off against Beyer at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Livingston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. As for Ceres, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Johansen at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Johansen's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
