Volleyball Recap: Longmont Wins Going Away Against Silver Creek

Longmont won the last time they faced Silver Creek and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Raptors with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Longmont never let Silver Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Silver Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addie Riedel had 14 digs and two aces. Riedel is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Longmont now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Silver Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

After both having extra time off, Longmont and Horizon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silver Creek, they will challenge Overland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
