Baseball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Dexter finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Sikeston Bulldogs, falling 10-1. It was the first time this season that the Bearcats let down their fans at home.

Dexter's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sikeston, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Dexter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Advance on the 21st. As for Sikeston, they are taking a road trip to challenge Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
