Softball Game Preview: Groton-Dunstable Crusaders vs. Marlborough Panthers

Groton-Dunstable hasn't had much luck against Marlborough recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Groton-Dunstable will head out to challenge Marlborough at 4:00 p.m.

Groton-Dunstable is headed into their game with Marlborough looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Ayer Shirley on Friday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 tie.

Meanwhile, Marlborough lost 16-6 to Advanced Math & Science Academy on Monday. The Panthers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Groton-Dunstable came out on top in a nail-biter against Marlborough in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Groton-Dunstable since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
