Baseball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Lanier fell victim to Edison and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Golden Bears, falling 12-0. The Voks haven't had much luck with the Golden Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Edison, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Coming up, Lanier will welcome Burbank at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Voks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Edison, they will venture away from home to square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Bears 2.2, the Mustangs 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
