Volleyball Recap: Lake Travis Now 18-5 over Last 23 Games

Lake Travis not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Akins Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Xyanna Stephens was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Stephens wasn't the only good servers: Lake Travis was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Lake Travis is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. As for Akins, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lake Travis and Akins will both be playing Del Valle the next time they take the court. The Cavaliers will host the Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
