Basketball Recap: Stockton Has No Trouble Against Natoma

Stockton won the last time they faced Natoma and things went their way on Monday too. The Stockton Tigers put the hurt on the Natoma Tigers with a sharp 46-20 victory. Stockton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 26 points or more this season.

Natoma's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucy Alexander, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Lams, who scored four points and 14 rebounds.

Stockton's win bumped their record up to 9-3-2. As for Natoma, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stockton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northern Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stockton's defense has only allowed 28.4 points per game this season, so Northern Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Natoma, they will square off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
