Softball Preview: Centralia Tigers vs. Aberdeen Bobcats
Centralia hasn't had much luck against Aberdeen recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Centralia will bounce into Monday's contest after beating WF West, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bearcats on Friday, sneaking past 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Aberdeen made sure to put some runs up on the board against Shelton on Friday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Highclimbers. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Highclimbers: they've now won eight in a row.
Ally Adams was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Yakovich, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
