Soccer Recap: St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Takes a Loss

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Aurora Blue Devils, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while East Aurora are ranked eighth).

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for East Aurora, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute will square off against St. Mary's at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Aurora, they will challenge Starpoint at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Aurora will be up against Starpoint's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.83 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
