Volleyball Recap: South Johnston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Johnston can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Gray's Creek Bears on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Trojans couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-21.

Leading Gray's Creek to victory were Taryn Sylvester and Haylee Wells. Sylvester had ten digs and three aces, while Wells had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Sylvester has posted since back in September.

South Johnston dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Gray's Creek, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

South Johnston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gray's Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lee County on the 23rd.
