Football Recap: Lafayette Skates Past Wildwood with Ease + How To Watch

Lafayette won the last time they faced Wildwood and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets blew past the Wildcats, posting a 42-13 victory. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly 29 points.

Tywan K Williamson had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 204 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 31 yards. Parker Hill also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Lafayette proved: they limited Wildwood to a paltry 1.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Alex Townsend for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lafayette didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.7.

Lafayette pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.6 points on average over those games. As for Wildwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Lafayette will be playing at home against Fort White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wildwood, they will head out to challenge Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hardee will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
