Basketball Recap: Golden View Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Golden View Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 56-41 fall against the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent loss being a 54-31 defeat back in January.

Addenbrooke Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reena Lanzen, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Lanzen has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lucia Rodriguez, who posted 18 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Golden View Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Coming up, Golden View Classical Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Loveland Classical at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loveland Classical's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so Golden View Classical Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, they will square off against Twin Peaks Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Twin Peaks Classical Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Addenbrooke Classical Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
