             Callaway had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with  a   53-45  win over the Yazoo City Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played  back in November of 2023.
 Callaway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jahanna Wilson, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and nine  assists. Wilson has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more  steals the last 17 times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Trinity Cook, who  made all 5 shots she took racking up 11 points plus five  rebounds.
 Callaway  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Callaway has already played their next matchup,  a  58-21  win against Holmes County Central on the 7th. As for Yazoo City, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Murrah at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
