Basketball Game Preview: Centerburg Trojans vs. Tree of Life Christian Trojans

Centerburg will challenge Tree of Life Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centerburg is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Centerburg picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They strolled past Madison Plains with points to spare, taking the game 53-38.

Meanwhile, Tree of Life Christian was able to grind out a solid win over East Knox on Saturday, taking the game 56-46. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 738th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centerburg pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Tree of Life Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

Centerburg took their victory against Tree of Life Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 54-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Centerburg since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
