Melba and Parma are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Melba came up short against Fruitland and fell 43-35.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parma). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Marsing 55-26. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won four in a row.

Melba better keep an eye on Aarey Harris. She was instrumental in Parma's win, going 9-for-18 en route to 21 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. The game was Harris' eighth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tara Johnson, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Melba's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Parma, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Melba came up short against Parma in their previous meeting back in February, falling 39-33. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
