If Crestview wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pace, they should've done a better job of containing Leighton Osborn. It was close, but the Patriots ultimately pulled out a 55-53 victory from a begrudging Bulldogs squad for which the team can thank Osborn, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 22 points and six rebounds. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least 20 points.

Another player making a difference was Avery McBride, who posted eight points along with five assists and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Crestview lost on Monday, don't look at Natalie Toney. Despite the final result, she shot 67% from the field to rack up 28 points and six boards. Toney has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least 15 points, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Bianca Banks, who scored six points and five rebounds.

Pace's record is now 5-6. As for Crestview, they now also have a losing record of 5-6.

Pace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-37 loss against Gulf Shores on the 16th. As for Crestview, they have also already played their next game, a 64-22 defeat against Booker T. Washington on the 17th.
