Softball Recap: Jennings Comes Up Short

If Jennings was feeling good fresh off their 25-3 takedown of Breaux Bridge on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jennings lost 11-1 to the Stanley Panthers on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since February 26th.

Jennings' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Stanley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Jennings and Stanley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Jennings (ranked 95th) will meet Lake Charles College Prep (ranked 302nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Stanley will take on Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on April 1 up 96 places (29 vs. 125).
