Basketball Recap: South Pasadena Skates Past Monrovia with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when South Pasadena took on Monrovia on Monday. The South Pasadena Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Monrovia Wildcats 82-46. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 24 points or more this season.

South Pasadena got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rod Khollesi out in front who went 9 for 16 en route to 23 points and six boards. What's more, Khollesi also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Miles Nowe, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.

South Pasadena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Monrovia, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

South Pasadena won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Verbum Dei Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Verbum Dei Jesuit knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully South Pasadena likes a good challenge. As for Monrovia, they will venture away from home to take on Blair at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
