Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Comes Up Short

Unity Christian lost against Cumberland back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Unity Christian Lions fell just short of the Cumberland Pirates by a score of 55-53. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Cumberland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Unity Christian will challenge Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cumberland, they will face off against Villa Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
