Football Game Preview: Winona Wildcats vs. New Diana Eagles

For the first time this season, Winona will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the New Diana Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winona is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Winona ended up a good deal behind Alto and lost 28-14.

Meanwhile, New Diana sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-18 win over Redwater on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

The victory got New Diana back to even at 2-2. As for Winona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Winona took a serious blow against New Diana when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 65-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' Dejuan Johnson, who rushed for 122 yards and four scores on only six carries, and also threw for 128 yards and a pair of TDs.
