Basketball Recap: Rim of the World Fighting Scots vs. Montclair Cavaliers
Rim of the World couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montclair Cavaliers on Tuesday. The Fighting Scots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Several Fighting Scots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Ramirez, who went 8 for 19 en route to 19 points plus eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Tom Krzeminski, who scored 16 points.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rim of the World will square off against Big Bear at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Montclair, they will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Hillcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
