Softball Recap: Citrus Takes a Loss

Citrus and Vanguard squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Citrus had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Hurricanes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Citrus has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Vanguard, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Citrus nor Vanguard have any future games scheduled.
