Soccer Recap: Central Mountain Comes Up Short

Central Mountain lost against Lewisburg back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Green Dragons. While losing is never fun, Central Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Lewisburg are ranked third).

Central Mountain's goal came courtesy of Cole Cooper, who's now up to three this season.

Central Mountain has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5-2 record this season. As for Lewisburg, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Mountain will welcome Shikellamy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lewisburg, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Milton at 4:00 p.m. Lewisburg will be up against Milton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.55 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
