Volleyball Recap: Rampart Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Rampart couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Chaparral Wolverines on Saturday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Rams haven't been shut out since back in August.

Defeat or not, Rampart got some senior leadership from Gabriella Melecio and Ellery Anderson. Melecio had 18 digs, while Anderson had 14 digs. Melecio is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Rampart and nudges their season record down to 25-4. As for Chaparral, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

Rampart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chaparral, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Rock Canyon on the 15th.
