Basketball Recap: Lake Oswego Takes a Loss

Lake Oswego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 75-52 to the West Linn Lions. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Lions are ranked sixth).

Lake Oswego's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for West Linn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Oswego will square off against Oregon City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for West Linn, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. West Linn knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Tigard likes a good challenge.
