Baseball Recap: Jennings County Takes a Loss

Jennings County blew Scottsburg out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Scottsburg got their revenge. The Panthers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ethan Speer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Jennings County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Scottsburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Coming up, Jennings County will host Madison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cubs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Scottsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
